Many years ago I found a recipe on the Kraft Canada Kitchen website for Parmesan pizza dough. I liked the recipe. It was easy to make and it gave me a few extra balls of pizza dough that I could put in the freezer and bring out later to make more pizza.

I’ve referenced this Parmesan pizza dough recipe a few times in other blog posts. See Low Cost Homemade Meals and Baking. Yeah this Parmesan pizza dough recipe is that good, cheap, and easy to make!

However, the problem has been Kraft Canada Kitchen reorganizing their website too many times which changes the URL of the recipe. Every now and then my bad link tracker sends me an alert and I have to chase down the recipe again on their website.

Except I can’t find it at all now!

So it’s time to take matters into my own hands and put the recipe up on my blog so I can link it whenever I reference this Parmesan pizza recipe.

And maybe this will help others who are looking for this Parmesan pizza dough recipe that has gone missing in action from the Kraft Canada Kitchen!

The directions on Kraft didn’t say how long to cook it, but one of the reviewers said 400 degrees for 15 minutes and that worked for me.

The extra pizza dough balls go into individual freezer bags. Now I can make a pizza every couple of weeks or so.

So without further ado, and giving credit back to Kraft Canada Kitchen, let’s get cooking!

Parmesan Pizza Dough Recipe

5 cups flour, divided

1 cup Kraft grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon fast rising yeast

½ teaspoon salt

2 cups cold water

¼ cup olive oil

Method:

1. Mix 4 cups flour, cheese, yeast and salt in large bowl. Add water and oil. Stir until mixture forms soft dough. Knead on lightly floured surface 5 min. or until smooth and elastic, gradually adding that remaining cup of flour.

2. Cut dough into 4 pieces. (Each piece is enough for a 12-inch pizza.) Spray each piece with cooking spray. If using immediately, cover desired number of dough pieces loosely with plastic wrap. Let stand 15 minutes.

3. When ready to use, roll the dough ball into a circle. Add tomato sauce or pizza sauce and whatever toppings you like.

4. Bake at 400 F degrees for 15 minutes.

5. Place each remaining dough ball in separate resealable freezer bags that have been sprayed with cooking spray. Seal bags. Refrigerate up to 2 days or freeze up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge.
