Hi friends, and welcome to today’s Cowgirl Monday where we explore Galloping After Love (and Losing Cash Along the Way!
Clara Mae always warned fellas that dating her was like trying to keep up with a runaway mustang – fast, wild, and expensive. One poor cowboy tried to impress her by bringing roses, but she galloped off so quick the petals blew clean off. Another fella showed up with chocolates, but by the time he caught up, they’d melted in his pocket.
Finally, a city slicker gave it a try. He climbed on a borrowed horse, held on for dear life, and tossed dollar bills in the air just to keep her attention.
Clara just laughed, “That’s more like it, sugar. Around here, hay costs more than romance!”
And off they went. Her horse flying and his wallet lighter by the minute.
