Hi friends! Happy weekend! I’ve found some free books on Amazon Kindle this weekend that are free. Yay! Most of my reading tastes tend to run cozy mysteries, mysteries, and thrillers. If that’s not your thing … sorry:(
You don’t need a Kindle to read books for free. For years I did most of my eBook reading on my iPad where I downloaded the Kindle app – free! You can download the Kindle app onto your tablet, Smartphone, or your computer so you too can read for free. Amazon will help you find your way. Under the buy now option, Amazon has a little banner that says “Read on any device.” Click it and follow the instructions on where you’d like to read books.
Always double check the price before hitting the “buy now” button on Amazon. Some of these novels migrate to their regular price without warning! Right now these kindle novels are free during the weekend of October 2, 2020.

Don’t you hate it when something you paid full price for goes on sale? Luckily, $2.99 is a reasonable price and I bought this novel two days after it was released in 2019. Obviously I love the adventures of Laurel McKay! This time Laurel takes a job as a stand in double for a movie star who has gone missing. If you love cozy mysteries that make you laugh out loud, don’t miss Dying for a Double. It’s really unusual to see a new release go on special as a freebie. Usually Book 1, is free to hook readers in to the series. But not right now. It’s 99¢ so I hope you grabbed it on one of my previous shout outs!

This weekend Book 9 in the Paradise Crime Thrillers is free! If you like Hawaii and like mysteries, Wired Courage will be an excellent read. Sophie Ang is an FBI agent, specializing in computers, data and hacking. In prior novels Sophie was stalked by her ex-husband, she’s found out her mother’s not who she thought she was, she’s been shot at, and this novel her baby has been kidnapped shortly after birth. Sophie goes through a lot! This is the most action packed novel of the entire series and it took the characters all the way to Thailand. I didn’t buy this novel separately. I bought it as part of a 9 book bundle because I’m totally hooked on these thrillers.

I’ve recently gotten hooked on the Sasha McCandless series after getting the first three books in a free bundle. And guess what? Still free, so snap it up if you love full length legal thrillers! Sasha works for a large law firm, specializing in corporate litigation, and is on the path to become partner in the first novel. In this series Sasha is trying to figure out why a plane crashed, why a doctor is becoming the POA for senior patients, and in her first foray into criminal defense – who is murdering females lawyers. Loved it so much, I bought the second bundle of novels that I’m currently reading. The price is right. Download and see if you love Sasha as much as I do.

Being a teacher and a stripper didn’t work out for Addison Holmes, so she’s now going to try being a private investigator. Whiskey Rebellion is the first in the series, I’ve read them all, but the author has ended Addison’s adventures. This novel will keep you laughing at the predicaments Addison gets herself into.
David Bishop
Linda Darby lives in a small town on the Oregon Coast, and works out of her condo as a day trader. Her best friend doesn’t show up for their lunch date and is later found murdered. She’d left Linda “in case of death” instructions because she was worried Linda might become a target for her killers. Linda doesn’t take the warning too seriously, until she wakes up in the middle of the night and realizes the killer is inside her condo.
Will she escape? Or will he kill her?

This next freebie is a novella, part of the Apple Orchard Mysteries. Chelsea, her Aunt May, and aunt’s friend Teeny head to Vermont to participate in a bake off. The judge, who seems to be a take off on Chef Ramsey, has drowned in the lake. Or is it murder? Anyway, it’s a quick read and should give you some insight on whether you want to read more in the series. There are currently eight Apple Orchard Mysteries.
