Hi friends! Happy weekend! I’ve found some free books on Amazon Kindle this weekend that are free. Yay! Most of my reading tastes tend to run cozy mysteries, mysteries, and thrillers. If that’s not your thing … sorry:(

Free Kindle books are becoming tougher to come by! Well, not always, just the ones that I’ve already read and recommend. Many authors offer the first book in a series for free to generate reader interest to buy more novels in the series. Works for me! As the writers get more popular and make more sales, they take down the freebies. They might make the first in the series 99¢ or they might have a freebie when a new book is launched. Hopefully you grabbed some of my favorites in previous posts when they were still free!

You don’t need a Kindle to read books for free. For years I did most of my eBook reading on my iPad where I downloaded the Kindle app – free! You can download the Kindle app onto your tablet, Smartphone, or your computer so you too can read for free. Amazon will help you find your way. Under the buy now option, Amazon has a little banner that says “Read on any device.” Click it and follow the instructions on where you’d like to read books.

PRICE CHECK

Always double check the price before hitting the “buy now” button on Amazon. Some of these novels migrate to their regular price without warning! Right now these kindle novels are free during the weekend of March 12, 2021.

(Disclosure: I’m an Amazon associate and earn a small commission when you click on Amazon links on this site and make a purchase. These Kindle novels are currently free, therefore I won’t receive commission for making these referrals.)

TOBY NEAL

Toby Neal had a box collection of the first three books in the Paradise Crime Thrillers series free for the longest time. I kept promoting it here and hope you took advantage of it when it was a good deal! Unfortunately, if you missed out, that special deal ended months ago.

If you missed out, Book 1 in the series, Wired In is currently free.

The series takes place in Hawaii which is one of the best reasons to read these books. Sophie is an FBI agent whose specialty is computers. She chases bad guys in cyberspace, and her abusive ex-husband becomes entangled in the plot.

I’ve read up to Book 11 in the series, so I’ve been pretty committed. Unfortunately, that book didn’t end well for me so I haven’t continued with Book 12. If it goes on sale, I might buy it. The biggest critical thing I can say about this series is they really aren’t stand alone novels. The same cast of characters appears throughout the series and there are constant references to events that appeared in previous novels. It would be difficult to jump in to the Paradise Crime Thrillers a few books in and keep up with the past.

So saying that, Book 7 in the series, Wired Secret, is also free right now! After Book 1, Sophie ended her FBI career and went into the private sector at a security firm. Book 7 takes her to the Big Island of Hawaii (she lives in Honolulu, Oahu) where she tries to stay one jump ahead of organized crime and keep a witness safe.

DAVID BISHOP

One of my favorite authors, is the prolific David Bishop who has several series on the go. This weekend the Ladies Lunch Club Murders is free. This is Book 4 in the Jack McCall Mystery series. There are four books (so far) in the series. In this novel, someone is murdering the ladies of a lunch club. The murderer is a surprise – great plot twist!

MELISSA F. MILLER

I’ve gotten hooked on the Sasha McCandless series after getting the first three books in a free bundle. And guess what? Still free, so snap it up if you love full length legal thrillers! Sasha works for a large law firm, specializing in corporate litigation, and is on the path to become partner in the first novel. In this series Sasha is trying to figure out why a plane crashed, why a doctor is becoming the POA for senior patients, and in her first foray into criminal defense – who is murdering females lawyers. Loved it so much, I bought the second bundle of novels and read them all too. The price is right at FREE! Download and see if you love Sasha as much as I do.

I hope some of these free Kindles make it to your reading list. Let me know what you think. You can’t beat these weekend prices!
