I’ve found some free Kindle novels this weekend of December 9, 2022 on Amazon. Yay!

Hey friends. Most of my reading tastes tend to run cozy mysteries, mysteries, and thrillers. If that’s not your thing … sorry:(

Free Kindle books are becoming tougher to come by! Well, not always, just the ones that I’ve already read and recommend. Many authors offer the first book in a series for free to generate reader interest to buy more novels in the series. Works for me! As the writers get more popular and make more sales, they take down the freebies. They might make the first in the series 99¢ or they might have a freebie when a new book is launched. Hopefully you grabbed some of my favorites in previous posts when they were still free!

You don’t need a Kindle to read books for free. For years I did most of my eBook reading on my iPad where I downloaded the Kindle app – free! You can download the Kindle app onto your tablet, Smartphone, or your computer so you too can read for free. Amazon will help you find your way. Under the buy now option, Amazon has a little banner that says “Read on any device.” Click it and follow the instructions on where you’d like to read books.

Always double check the price before hitting the “buy now” button on Amazon. Some of these novels migrate to their regular price without warning! Right now these kindle novels are free during the weekend of December 9, 2022.

(Disclosure: I’m an Amazon associate and earn a small commission when you click on Amazon links on this site and make a purchase. These Kindle novels are currently free, therefore I won’t receive commission for making these referrals.)

Dying for a Daiquiri

If you’ve been grabbing up some of the Laurel McKay mysteries by Cindy Sample when I’ve featured them on other posts, then you’ll be happy to see Dying for a Daiquiri is free this weekend! Yay! Laurel and family travel to Hawaii for a wedding. When a hula dancer is found dead on the rocks below her brother’s restaurant, Laurel steps in to help find the killer.

Bone Hook

Seeing as how we’re in Hawaii, let’s see what author Toby Neal has available. First up is Bone Hook, #10 in the Paradise Crime Mysteries. I haven’t read it yet, but I just downloaded it when I saw this freebie! The detective is investigating a crime scene underwater at Molokini.

A popular scuba diving and snorkeling excursion for tourists visiting Maui is a boat ride to the atoll of Molokini. Yup. Been there, done that! And snapped up this book for the memories.

Wired In

This is the first book in the Paradise Crime series by Toby Neal. The series takes place in Hawaii which is one of the best reasons to read them all. The main character, Sophie, is a computer specialist with the FBI, but she’s come to odds with her bosses. Will she give up the rights to a program she developed or can a private security firm woo her away?

The Sasha McCandless Series: Volume 1 (Books 1-3)

I’ve gotten hooked on the Sasha McCandless series by Melissa F. Miller after getting the first three books in a free bundle. And guess what? Free right now, so snap it up if you love full length legal thrillers! Sasha works for a large law firm, specializing in corporate litigation, and is on the path to become partner in the first novel. In this series Sasha is trying to figure out why a plane crashed, why a doctor is becoming the POA for senior patients, and in her first foray into criminal defense – who is murdering females lawyers. Loved it so much, I bought the second bundle of novels and read them all too. The price is right at FREE! Download and see if you love Sasha as much as I do.

A Dangerous Harbor

Book 1 in the Romantic Mystery Sailing Trilogy by R.P Dahlke. I’ve read the first two books in the series and my biggest question is where is book 3. Am I missing something here? Doesn’t trilogy usually mean three? A San Francisco police detective takes a solo sailing trip to Mexico and finds a body floating in the water. She reports it to the local police but soon finds herself the prime suspect in the murder.

Money to Burn

Don’t we all wish we had money to burn this time of year! This is book #7 in the Lou Fleener mysteries by Duane Lindsay. I snapped it up just now when I saw my favorite price tag on it. I previously bought the boxed set of the first 6 books in the Lou Fleener series when I spotted them for free a few weeks ago and I hope you picked it up too! The author’s other series about the grifter’s daughter is one of my favorites and I figure this series should be good too. And when the price is right, well, why not give it a try!

Cozy up to Christmas

If you’re looking for a free Christmas themed cozy mystery, check out Cozy up to Christmas. I haven’t read this novel, but I noticed it and it has good reviews. A mall Santa and a Christmas caper. Could be a fun Christmas read. I noticed a lot of free Christmas Kindle novels, so if you’re looking for holiday reading, do a search on Amazon.
