Hi friends and horse lovers – welcome to Cowgirl Mondays and your giggle of the day!
I’m a nomad and international housesitter. In order to find housesits, I belong to several websites and I’m also on some Facebook groups.
On the Facebook groups, both homeowners and housesitters can put up posts. Here it’s very important to note that you should always proofread your ad before hitting the submit button.
Here is a recent post from a potential housesitter:
I’m looking to stay in Fall River area close to Catholic Rehab. I will be visiting my 94 yr old Mom. I will horseshit and care for animals. I will be with her most days. Please let me know asap. Monthv of June can be flexible with dates.
This prompted a few responses – mostly to the effect of oh my god you might want to proofread about your love for horses!
And here are a couple of standouts:
Nope, sorry can’t afford the cost of loo paper. Best of luck!
Oh my…please don’t horseshit. That’s some crazy cleanup. And maybe see a doctor…
Ha ha!

In the late 80s I was visiting my aunt and uncle in Del Mar, California and stopped in at Mary’s Tack Shop. Yup. Us cowgirls can’t resist stopping in at every horse shop we see.
There I purchased one of the most favorite T-shirts I’ve ever owned, but I have no photos of me wearing it – sob! It was light blue with a picture of a grinning horse and above it read Horseshirt. One of the horse’s ears conveniently semi-blocked the second r giving it more the appearance of horseshit!

On subsequent visits I stopped by Mary’s Tack Shop, never to find that shirt again. 😭
