Howdy friends, and welcome back to Cowgirl Monday – you will not be a problem!
There’s a picture I pinned to Pinterest many years ago that I really like. It captures the Cowgirl spirit!

Le’s have a little giggle this Cowgirl Monday. I’ve created a short story for you to enjoy based on this picture.
So you will not be a Problem
The new mailman, Mark, was on his first day delivering along the rural backroads when he spotted a weathered sign nailed to a fence:
“BEWARE. I ride horses. I use pitchforks. I haul hay. I am the boss of a half-ton beast. I have been bitten, kicked, and stepped on. So you will not be a problem.”
Mark blinked. Then blinked again. His GPS chirped: “You have arrived.”
Gulping, Mark cautiously stepped out of the van, clutching a bundle of letters like they were his last will and testament.
Out of the barn strode a woman in muddy boots, denim overalls, and a stare that could curdle milk.

“You the new mail guy?” she asked, wiping sweat from her brow with the kind of nonchalance only someone who’s wrestled bulls could manage.
“Uh…. Y-yes, ma’am.”
“Good. Don’t be afraid of Maggie.”
“…Who’s Maggie?”
A deep snort answered from behind. Kevin turned. A Clydesdale the size of a Subaru was eyeing him with the calm menace of a bouncer at a cowboy bar.
“She likes to test newcomers. Bit my ex once,” the woman said cheerfully.
Mark took a trembling step back.
“But I trained her. Broke her in. She used to kick like a demon. Now she only does it when provoked… or when someone says she looks fat.”
“Got it,” Mark squeaked.
She narrowed her eyes. “You got a problem?”
“N-no! Nope! No problem at all!”
She grinned. “Didn’t think so.”
Mark made record time getting back into the van, peeling away in a dust cloud, mail successfully delivered, and ego slightly trampled.
Back at the post office, his supervisor asked how the route went.
Mark stared into the middle distance. “Let’s just say… if she can boss around a half-ton beast, survive kicks, bites, and pitchfork duty, I am definitely not going to be a problem.
The end.
Here’s Mark!
Yes, I featured the name of one of my favorite horses. Here’s Mark!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope today’s Cowgirl giggle of the day helped brighten your day!
